Apparently, people like to drink on St. Patrick’s day! We picked up on that right around the time someone gave the Boom Boom Room‘s soundboard a luxurious beer bath, just before our set. But we weren’t going to let a little technical difficulty ruin our night…4 amps turned up LOUD and a few whiskeys later, we were cranking the music until 2 am. Thanks to everyone who came out and celebrated with us! We’ll keep you posted on our next show in April.

Way back in the day, Mac, Eric and Brodie’s ancestor’s braved the long and treacherous journey from the rolling hills of Ireland to the gold-paved streets of North America. Now, after years of ancestral baby making, the three stand before you – blindingly pale, a strong affinity for Guinness and Jameson — ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with vigor and gusto. Grahame will also be rocking out for the cause in all of his German glory, disguised in his bewildering bushy red beard.
This Wednesday at the Boom Boom Room there will be revelry, music and a veritable rainbow of libations for one and all. Maiden Lane headlines the show, following up friends Badwater and Them Guns. Tix are only $7. Get ‘em HERE or at the door!
(Though completely unrelated, Brodie would like to share that she is also a quarter Scottish and has her very own castle, which she plans on reclaiming as soon as is convenient. When she does, you are all invited to come and stay.) It looks like this:
About two weeks ago we played a very fun concert at the Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco. We some friends a camera, lugged a Mac with ProTools onstage, and recorded the show! We thought it was a great time, and we wanted to show it to you all. Today, we put out “Tortoise’s Song”, which will be featured on our upcoming 2nd EP. Check it out:

The Rickshaw Stop is nestled on a strange, quiet block of Fell Street, and its only sign is a flashing box in the window, but the crowd still gathered to watch Maiden Lane, Ca$h Pony and 7OrangeABC last Wednesday night. Grahame’s parents were there, and even Mac’s grandma from Santa Barbara showed up.
Maiden Lane played a quick and dirty set, showcasing a few of their newest creations. Props to the sound guy, who killed the mixing, and Rickshaw’s resident mutt, who kept us entertained during sound check. Thanks to Ca$sh Pony
and 7OrangeABC for rounding out the night with their incredible talents. We bought one of 7OrangeABC’s EPs, and we love it.
